Incheon Airport to Seoul,
choose by your hotel, not just speed.
AREX, airport buses and taxis solve different problems. The best option depends on where you are staying, how much luggage you have, and when your flight lands.
AREX is strongest for rail connections; buses can be easier for hotels; taxis are simplest door-to-door
Incheon Airport officially lists Airport Railroad, airport buses and taxis as the main public-transport choices. The AREX Express connects Seoul Station and Incheon Airport without intermediate stops; Incheon Airport’s current information lists Seoul Station Express service and advises travelers to verify current schedules with the operator.
Good when Seoul Station is useful for your hotel or onward rail journey. Official airport information shows the Express serving Seoul Station and the airport.
Often convenient when a stop is close to your hotel and you want fewer transfers with luggage.
Best for door-to-door simplicity, groups, heavy luggage or late arrivals.
Which option fits your Seoul area?
For Myeongdong, Hongdae, Gangnam and other neighborhoods, compare the number of transfers and the final walk with luggage. If you plan to continue to Busan or another city by rail, Seoul Station becomes more valuable. If Seoul is your final stop and your hotel has a convenient limousine-bus stop, the bus may reduce handling.
